Pocket Books has announced a plan to have at least one Buffy book come out per month. October sees the Watcher's Guide, an official book on the show. November sees Craig Shaw Gardener's new novel, "Return to Chaos," and December sees a new young adult book. January will kick off with a new trilogy of books targeted for adults. So, be on the lookout...

• The first two episodes will have Buffy dreaming about Angel. At first, it was rumored that Angel would be back from hell in the third episode of the season. But a press release from WB makes it look more like he'll be back in the fourth episode of the season...
• According to Wanda of Watch with Wanda, the WB censors took out a shot that would have shown the world Angel's bare posterior. Sorry about that one ladies...
• Looks like poor old Angel isn't have such a good time down there in hell. Apparently, he'll only be gone from our world a few months but a hundred years will have passed for him of torment (guess they're making him re-wached Killed by Death again and again!).
• Also, hell is going to be, well, hell for Angel. He'll return to the show but he won't know if he's good or bad.
• I'm sorry to report that Synder will shuffle off this mortal coil (Armin Shimmerman has confirmed this!) But, there is hope. It seems that Synder won't permanantly die, but will come back as some kind of demon or zombie.
• The third episode of the season will be a "pivotal, major episode" according to Joss Whedon. It will see the introduction of the new villain, Mr. Trick and also of a new member of the Scooby gang, Faith.
• Angel returns in this episode and Buffy is re-admited to Sunnydale High.
• Faith is a new slayer, appointed to take Kendra's place. Faith will be played by Eliza Drushku, who was Arnold's daughter in the hit movie, "True Lies." Below are a couple of pictures of her I found.
  
  
  
• This has been posted on several Buffy discussion groups, but I haven't yet had time to go back and check it out. If you watch the open credits, at the very end when Buffy and the rest of the Scooby gang are shown, with that huge box (which, silly me, I assumed was the rocket launcher from Innocence!) you can see Faith if you look hard enough. I will look into this and report back...
• Faith comes to Sunnydale when her Watcher is killed. She will bring some new villains to Sunnydale with her.
• No word yet on who will play Mr. Trick. They're keeping this one fairly well under wraps since as far as I know, they've filmed this episode. (Part of this could be the intense speculation about the exact nature of who Faith is--just a friend or a Slayer! Personally, I think Joss is throwing these rumors out there to keep us distracted from speculating too much about Mr. Trick and ruining the suprise!) Anyway, Mr. Trick is the villain for the first part of season three. From what I've heard, he's a bit of combination of Spike and the Master, but far more cunning and evil. He's not as impulsive as Spike and it sounds like the Buffy gang will have their hands full trying to stop him.
• Speaking of Spike, Joss has confirmed that both he and Dru will be back next seasons, though he hasn't said when the duo will return nor how.
• Oz will transform into the werewolf again in episode four this year. When a student turns up mutilated in a forest near Sunnydale, Willow will susepct maybe Oz has transformed into the werewolf.
• Joss has been quoted as saying they did a lot of work to the werewolf costume to make it appear more real.
• Angel's return to Sunnydale looks like it will happen in episode four. Buffy will suspect him of the killings in the forest.
• When Angel first returns, Buffy may keep his return a secret.
• Buffy will definitely have a new boyfriend named Scott by the time Angel returns.
• The mayor of Sunnydale will make his first appearance this season.
• Angel's return causes major tension among the Scooby gang and some rifts to develop. I think those of you hoping that Buffy and Angel get back together are going to be disappointed since from what I hear Buffy isn't going to be very forgiving. Angel's fall from grace with the Scooby gang may be a bit of set-up for his getting his own spin-off series.
• Charisma Carpenter is definitely being transferred over to the new Angel spin-off.
• The Scooby gang will all be seniors this year.
• Joyce and Giles may hook up next year.
• If you'll remember the opening credits for the new season show Angel in fire. A lot of people assume (yours truly included!) that this would be Angel in hell. Well, rumors have sprung up that it's not that but something different. As I hear more, I will post it here...
• Rumor has it the ugly minions from Anne may be back later in the year...
• If you remember last season, there were intense rumors that Jamie Kennedy of "Scream" fame might do a guest spot on the show. Well, his schedule didn't work out back then, but I've heard he was still interested. Latest rumor has it that he will play Buffy's new boyfried. And apparently, Angel will hang around to make sure this new guy treats Buffy right.
